A fasting coach for iPhone

Hungry is easy.
Tired, hungry and low, all at once, is what beats you.

That stack tends to land around the same hour of a fast and lift again not long after, and no timer notices. Steady works out when it hits you, shows up just before, and later shows you it passed.

Steady's timer at 13 hours 46 minutes into a 16 hour fast, showing the stage called The switch and a button that says I want to eat
Not just a timer. It knows which hour is hard for you and plans around it.
One tap. Never a form.Check in with mood and energy in seconds, mid-fast.
Honest about what fasting does. And what it doesn't. No inflated numbers.
The coach

A coach who shows up before hour 13, not after.

Steady builds a plan from how your days actually go — when they fall apart, what wanting to quit feels like, where past fasts broke. It predicts your hard hour and checks in just ahead of it.

The coach knows your record. It will remind you that you have held past this hour before, offer a timed delay rather than a lecture, and tell you to stop if you describe anything that sounds unsafe.

Steady's coach conversation at 13 hours 43 minutes in. The coach says this is the stretch you flagged and that the feeling tends to ease off
Check-ins

One tap. Never a form.

Mood, energy, a word or two for what it is like. That is the whole check-in. Tap anything physical — shaky, dizzy, heart racing — and Steady tells you to stop, whatever the hour.

Check in a couple of times during a fast, two hours apart, and Steady will show you whether the feeling tends to lift. Your own record, not a promise.

Your record

Your own record. Not a promise.

Fasts held, completion rate, your streak, your longest. And the one number most apps never show you: how often your mood was better two hours after a low check-in.

Mood by hour shows where the hard stretch actually falls for you — so the plan gets more accurate the longer you use it.

Steady's You tab showing 8 fasts, 88 percent completed, 5 in a row, longest 16 hours 53 minutes, and a card that says your mood was better two hours later in 24 of your last 31 check-ins

Honest about what fasting does. And what it doesn't.

Fuel hands over from sugar to fat as the window runs. That is the whole mechanism — no mystery, no magic. Steady names the stages plainly and never tells you something is happening in your body that it cannot know.

Autophagy and true nutritional ketosis need roughly 24 hours or more. Steady tops out at 20, so it does not reach them — and we would rather say so than inflate the numbers like most fasting apps do.

Your data stays on your phone.

There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no advertising. Everything Steady knows about you lives in a local database on your iPhone. Delete the app and it is gone.

No account

Nothing to create, nothing to remember, nothing to leak. Payment is handled by Apple; Steady never sees your card or your name.

A coach with no memory of its own

When you talk to the coach, the context for that one reply is sent to a server that stores nothing — no database, no logs of your words. Your phone keeps the conversation.

Your medication answer never leaves

Steady asks about medications so the coach can be careful. The server only ever receives a yes-or-no risk flag. Which medication stays on your phone.
